EirEng provided civil and structural engineering services at planning stage for a Strategic Housing Development application of 102 no. apartments, double basement carpark and associated site works.
The site comprises of no’s 36, 38 and 40 Herbert Park, an area of 0.35 hectares. It is bounded by Herbert Park to the south, a 5-storey modern commercial building to the east and the River Dodder is 100m from the site boundary.
The granted permission allows for a stepped residential block ranging from 4 to 12 storeys over a double basement carpark with upgraded vehicular entrance and infrastructural works including a surface water connection to an old Mill Race adjacent to the River Dodder.
The application documents required in depth review of the geotechnical proposals, a basement impact assessment report and construction management proposals for the constrained site.
