Earth Day 2026

At EirEng, we are focused on engineering solutions that support a more sustainable future, from efficient structural design and responsible material use to creating buildings that are designed to perform for the long term.

According to the Royal Academy of Engineering, the built environment, of which the construction sector is a crucial component, currently contributes some 40% of the UK’s carbon emissions and it is estimated that the construction sector contributes up to 11% of global carbon emissions.

Earth Day provides a reminder that as designers we have the opportunity to make a positive change and work to lessen the impact of climate change. We are looking for collaborators to challenge design approaches, explore optioneering through parametric design and specify sustainable materials through coordination with suppliers.
