The project involved the redevelopment and complete refurbishment of the existing 6,000m2 Total Fitness Fitness centre into a number of individual retail units including a smaller leisure facility. The works included a complete new façade to the building and a strip out of existing internal walls and the infilling of existing swimming pools.
The works included significant structural alterations to the existing building to facilitate the new layouts and the sub-division of the building. The existing structure was subject to detailed back analysis to ascertain what elements required strengthening and/or where new structure was required to facilitate the proposed new layouts.
The works also included external works in the form of a new yard area to service the new units and refurbishment of the existing car park areas.
