Located in SEGRO Logistics Park in Purfleet, Ocado’s fifth CFC has a capacity of 30,000 orders per week and was procured through a developer for the Base Build Stage and then fitted out with a multi-level mezzanine structure and automated robotic e-commerce solution as a direct Ocado contract.
EirEng were appointed as Client’s Technical Representative for the Base Build stage and developed a developer’s Specification and the Civil & Structural Solution on the 19 acre site to a level where the Developers Team could deliver the Base Build warehouse. EirEng were also appointed to monitor the base build works to ensure that Ocado’s strict requirements were met.
EirEng also designed the internal and external fit-out works which included over 1000T of Steel Mezzanines with both concrete and lightweight floor plates over 4 levels with a total area of 15,800m2, all finished to strict tolerances.
