Congratulations to everyone involved with the successful opening of the new indoor vertical farming facility in Gloucestershire.

EirEng Consulting Engineers Ltd are delighted to have supported Jones Food Co with civil and structural engineering services on one of the UK’s most technically advanced indoor farms.

We were involved from inception to completion, and from a sustainable construction perspective, this is an interesting case study of saving an old industrial building (ex-steel mill in this case) from the scrap heap. Together, the team verified, adapted and extended the existing frames and floor slabs to meet the new high-tech vertical farming needs.
